大白萝卜转基因

去年，我种了些大白萝卜，长势超级好；于是自己留种。今年种了，萝卜苗长势也特别旺盛，但现在证实：压根就不结萝卜。很显然，这大白萝卜，是转基因品种。

白萝卜是寻常的冬天的食物，这竟然也被转基因了，无语-------以后大家注意，不要买这吃了。

我去年还种了些红皮的萝卜，也自己留种，今年结的很好。看来这种小型的红皮的萝卜，还是传统种子。


对于转基因，我的农场初始养鸡的时候，是向附近村民收购的玉米，结果，不仅小鸡基本都养死了，就是养到了挺大的大鸡（小鸡没养成功，直接买了人家半大的大鸡来养的），也是过几天就死掉一只，死的莫名其妙-----后来怀疑是转基因玉米，于是把饲料换成当地村民长的小麦和稻谷（冬春稻谷，夏秋小麦），结果超级明显：那些大鸡很少再死了。就从这一点，就可以看到：这转基因的食物，究竟能不能吃了。

转基因的东西真的吃着有明显感觉的。我在美国，离人，一直每天吃玉米碴子。之前是买organic的吃。结果有一天，孩子闹腾相公训，我就突然发现自己内心很冷酷地看着，一点都不心疼，就是孩子被打也不觉得。当时就是一惊，想起老师说的关于转基因玉米对母鸡的影响。立刻就将剩下的玉米碴子全部都扔掉，重新在网上买注明是non-gmo（非转基因）的玉米碴子。也是每天吃，吃了没多久，就感觉到自己对孩子发自内心的慈爱。这次经历真是刻骨铭心呀。

刚刚做了个调查，有机食物理论上确实是非转基因，但是现在转基因污染太严重，连有机食物也被污染。出处：

Those consumers who fear even the most minute amounts of genetically modified organisms in their meals will have to confront a nasty shock: even organic foods are not GMO-free, according to organic industry leaders.

At an organic conference this month at the University of Guelph, Dag Falck, who operates the organic program with Nature’s Path, a North American breakfast cereal and snack-bar producer, said it was time the organic industry was more honest with its labelling. Pollen and seeds from genetically modified crops often make their way onto organic farms — and there’s no test for what the organic industry terms “cross contamination,” or trace amounts of GMOs.

“Due to unavoidable, worldwide cross-pollination, no crop that has a GMO variant, no matter how regulated by the government can be guaranteed to be 100% GMO free,” Mr. Falck wrote in an email.

Anyone who eats such common staples as beet sugar, canola and corn — and that means just about everybody — will be exposed.

是的，所谓的organic就是说不用化工肥料。只有non-gmo的才是非转基因种子。

并不是这样，你可以做一下调查：
The United States and Canadian governments do NOT allow companies to label products “100% / Certified Organic” if they contain genetically modified foods.

To put it in more detail:

100% Organic: Must contain 100 percent organically produced ingredients (excluding water and salt). This is the only label that certifies a completely organic product AND completely GMO-free ingredients.

Certified Organic / USDA Organic: At least 95 percent of content is organic by weight (excluding water and salt). The <5% remaining ingredients must consist of substances approved on the USDA’s National List. GMOs are NOT on this list, so USDA Organic products are also usually GMO-free. For verification, consult the following sources:

NO GMO食物哪里有卖，有特殊网站么？我也是买organnic，看来以后要买nongmo

直接在网上搜non-gmo cornmeal就可以找到。我在amazon买过黄色的，现在在吃blue cornmeal，吃完打算换黄色的吃一阵子。这种一般好像都是stone grounded，价格贵很多。黄色的那种颜色和一般买到的organic的有很大区别。颜色更深一些，比较像老师发的照片里的那种老品种玉米的黄色，煮出来质地也略有不同。一般organic的玉米碴子看着颜色浅很多，煮出来似乎要寡一些，没那么稠。玉米大豆转基因太多，还是小心为妙，买non－gmo的保险。其他食物目前我没有特别的感觉，一般organic的可能就行了（好像也没有看到专门标明non-gmo的）。
